
Hollywood was abuzz this past Sunday as the 2026 Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA and streamed live on Netflix, celebrated the year’s standout performances in film and television. And the night belonged unequivocally to “Sinners,” which took home the top prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, proving it was truly a celestial evening for the film.
Leading the charge for “Sinners” was Michael B. Jordan, who clinched the Male Actor in a Leading Role award, solidifying his powerful portrayal. Jessie Buckley also shone brightly, winning Female Actor in a Leading Role for her compelling work in “Hamnet.” Supporting roles saw Amy Madigan honored for “Weapons” and Sean Penn for his performance in “One Battle After Another.” The adrenaline-pumping “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” was recognized for its incredible Stunt Ensemble.
On the television side, the drama series “The Pitt” had a fantastic night, winning for its ensemble and seeing Noah Wyle take home the award for Male Actor in a Drama Series. Keri Russell was celebrated for her captivating role in “The Diplomat.” Comedy was ruled by “The Studio,” which won Best Ensemble, with Seth Rogen securing Male Actor in a Comedy Series and a poignant posthumous win for the legendary Catherine O’Hara. Michelle Williams (“Dying For Sex”) and Owen Cooper (“Adolescence”) took home honors for limited series, while “The Last Of Us” thrilled audiences with its Stunt Ensemble win.
