Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visited the spiritual heart of India, Varanasi, with a clear mission: to ensure a memorable and comfortable experience for the massive influx of devotees expected during upcoming festivals at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

CM Adityanath stressed the paramount importance of treating every visitor with respect, stating there should be “no complaints of mistreatment.” He also directed officials to make sure shops within the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor are easily accessible and sell goods at reasonable prices. His powerful message resonated: religious institutions are sacred places of devotion, not merely sources of income.

Beyond the spiritual, the Chief Minister meticulously reviewed the city’s ongoing development. He pushed for accelerated work on the historic Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghats, emphasizing the protection of Varanasi’s rich heritage. Improvements were also ordered for the new Godaulia ropeway station to ensure smooth passenger flow. A firm stance was taken on traditions, with CM Adityanath declaring that all religious activities must stay within designated sites, and no new customs will be allowed.

His inspection extended to key infrastructure projects, including the impressive smart road network under the CM-GRIDS scheme, which is nearing completion. He also checked on the new medical college at Pandeypur, set to welcome 150 MBBS students by 2027. The message was clear for all projects: timely completion and uncompromising quality. Varanasi is truly being prepared for a future where tradition meets progress, ensuring comfort for all.
