The political world is buzzing after Vanity Fair published explosive interviews with President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles. Despite the revelations, President Trump is standing firmly by Wiles, whom he often calls “the most powerful woman in the world,” stating she’s done “a fantastic job” and has his full confidence.
Wiles certainly didn’t hold back, offering a candid glimpse into the inner workings of the Trump administration. She famously described President Trump, who doesn’t drink, as having an “alcoholic’s personality” – a view Trump himself surprisingly agreed with, acknowledging his “very possessive personality.”
The chief of staff also touched on other sensitive topics. She criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, suggesting she presented “binders full of nothingness.” Vice President JD Vance, Wiles noted, better understood the public’s interest in the Epstein matter, perhaps because he’s “a conspiracy theorist.” While admitting Trump is in the Epstein files, Wiles claimed there’s nothing “awful” there.
Beyond these insights, Wiles labeled budget chief Russ Vought a “right-wing absolute zealot” and tech titan Elon Musk an “odd, odd duck.” She also shared Trump’s views on international matters, including his belief that Putin “wants the whole country” of Ukraine and his desire to bomb drug boats off Venezuela until their leader “cries uncle.”
Following the publication, Wiles quickly took to X, branding the Vanity Fair piece a “disingenuously framed hit piece.” Other prominent figures, including Vice President Vance, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, also rallied to her defense, praising her loyalty and performance. It seems that even after a tell-all, loyalty remains paramount in this administration.
