West Bank: A Day of Coordinated Actions

Saturday brought a significant escalation of coordinated operations across the occupied West Bank, impacting Palestinian communities from Hebron in the south to Tubas in the northeast. Israeli forces, alongside illegal Israeli colonizers, carried out a series of invasions, abductions, home break-ins, road closures, and assaults, painting a stark picture of the region’s ongoing tensions.

In the Hebron district, eight Palestinians were reportedly abducted during pre-dawn raids on Dura and nearby villages, where homes were invaded. Local movement was severely restricted, with new military roadblocks and sealed roads. A curfew was even imposed on parts of Hebron city, reportedly to ensure the movement of colonizers to religious sites.

Further north in the Jordan Valley, four members of the Daraghma family, including two women, were abducted following an assault by Israeli colonizers. Witnesses recounted the distressing scene of an ambulance being blocked from reaching an injured child. Colonizer violence persisted throughout the day in the al-Maleh community, leading to further injuries.

The central West Bank, particularly around Ramallah, also faced disruption. Colonizers attacked Palestinian vehicles, and Israeli forces shut down critical routes, including the main gate to Ni’lin and the vital Atara military roadblock, causing immense travel delays for thousands.

In the Nablus area, al-Ein and New Askar refugee camps saw pre-dawn invasions and home searches. Later, a Palestinian municipal employee was injured in a colonizer assault south of the city.

These events reflect a broader, documented pattern of increasing military and colonizer escalation. A recent report noted over 2,100 such attacks in November alone. The combination of military actions, abductions, colonizer violence, and widespread movement restrictions continues to define daily life for residents across the occupied West Bank, underscoring a tightening system of control and shrinking freedoms.
