A Desperate Call: Iran’s Exiled Prince Pleads with Trump Amid Protests

Imagine a nation in turmoil, its people bravely taking to the streets, only to face an internet blackout and the constant threat of violence. This is the urgent reality unfolding in Iran, and an extraordinary plea has just landed on President Trump’s desk.

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s late Shah, has made a direct, public appeal for American intervention. Living in the Washington area, Pahlavi used social media to address the US President, writing, “Mr. President, this is an urgent and immediate call for your attention, support and action. Please be prepared to intervene to help the people of Iran.”

While he didn’t detail the exact intervention he sought, Pahlavi emphasized critical issues: a widespread internet blackout stifling communication, and the very real threat of force against protesters. He openly encouraged Iranians to demonstrate, believing that their sheer numbers could overwhelm security forces – a strategy he says they employed successfully last night.

Pahlavi also acknowledged President Trump’s previous warnings to the Iranian regime, suggesting they’ve helped keep some “thugs at bay,” but underscored that “time is of the essence.” This isn’t Trump’s first encounter with Iran; he’s previously authorized military actions and threatened further intervention if protesters are harmed.

These widespread protests, initially sparked by deep public frustrations over the rising cost of living, have now escalated into a desperate fight for fundamental freedoms, with an exiled leader seeking urgent international support.
