Sarah Ferguson’s charity, “Sarah’s Trust,” is set to close its doors, a decision announced just days after new documents emerged from the Jeffrey Epstein files. These revelations reportedly shed more light on the former Duchess of York’s contact with the disgraced financier.
A spokesperson for Sarah’s Trust confirmed the closure, stating it would be “for the foreseeable future.” While the timing raises eyebrows, the charity emphasized that this decision has been “under discussion and in train for some months.”
Despite the challenging circumstances surrounding its closure, Sarah’s Trust highlighted its significant positive impact. Over recent years, the charity partnered with more than 60 other organizations in over 20 countries, focusing on vital areas like education, healthcare, crisis response, and environmental projects. Notable achievements include distributing over 150,000 aid parcels during the Covid-19 pandemic, providing medical aid for those affected by the war in Ukraine, and supporting education for over 200 children in Ghana.
The board of trustees, along with Sarah Ferguson herself, expressed regret at the closure, reiterating pride in the work accomplished. While the trust’s official operations will cease, its legacy of humanitarian effort remains.
