Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani directly confronted Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday, demanding an immediate halt to Iranian attacks on regional nations.
Iran’s narrative was simple: their recent missile strikes were aimed squarely at American interests, not at Gulf states. However, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed wasn’t buying it. He “categorically rejected” this assertion, pointing to concrete evidence. Civilian and residential areas within Qatar itself, including the vicinity of Hamad International Airport, vital infrastructure, and critical liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facilities, were directly hit.
